Corruption: Ohakim shuns EFCC’s invitation

A former Imo State governor, Ihedi Ohakim, failed to show up at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Wednesday to clarify some issues in a probe of his administration. Ohakim, who was scheduled to visit the Abuja headquarters of the commission, was summoned to answer questions in an ongoing investigation into allegations of corruption and embezzlement by his government. Similarly, a former governor of Ebonyi State, Martin Elechi, was grilled for the second day running by EFCC operatives over allegations of funds misappropriation by his government.
